Who we are

Made by Mew is a small UK-based handmade craft business. We can be contacted at madebymew@outlook.com. For the purposes of UK GDPR, we are the data controller for the personal information you give us.

What we collect

When you place an order we collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number (optional) and postal address
• Details of your order — your cat's name, colours and any photos you send
• Any notes or messages you include

We do not handle card details. Payment is taken separately via PayPal or another third-party provider, who handle their own data under their own privacy policies.

How we use it

We use your information only to:

• Make and post your bracelet
• Reply to your enquiry or send you an invoice
• Keep a basic record of the order for our own bookkeeping

We do not send marketing emails, share your details with third parties, or use your information for anything else.

Where it's stored

Order emails and photos are kept in our private email inbox (Microsoft Outlook). Postal addresses may be written on parcel labels for Royal Mail.

How long we keep it

We keep order details for up to 6 years for tax and bookkeeping purposes (as required by HMRC), then delete them.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to restrict how we use it. Email madebymew@outlook.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
